The Vampire Diaries Season 2

I’m a little bit late in writing this review. At this point I’ve watched 15 episodes of season 3.

I loved season 2. Very positive feelings about it. In my point of view I would divide it in 2 parts. First half concentrates on werewolves. Now as I said in the last season, they never even mention the word werewolf. All you see is signs like Tyler getting angry or the camera on Tyler’s face then at the full moon. It was pretty obvious.

But it was very interesting how they handled the whole werewolf storyline and how it connected with the Original Vampires. Yes, the second part is all about the Original family of Vampires. There isn’t a lot of back story about them because it comes in season 3. It is mainly about a mission one Original is doing and that is to turn the vampires into hybrids (werewolf + vampire).

The name Klaus keeps coming up and terrorises the viewers. There is a lot of suspense building in the second half of the season especially the ritual Klaus has to perform to break the hybrid curse (more on that in season 3).

Elena is not so brilliant. She just makes some stupid decisions, kinda similar to Jesse Pinkman. They should be together right? I think so too.

Stefan and Damon have their own chemistry and they work together. The Katherine saga was great but it’s ended now. This whole season or the second half was about Klaus and his plan. Pretty good though.

I would rate it 7.5 out of 10.

Breaking Bad Season 3

This review will have spoilers.

Season 3 starts off on a good note but it kinda wears down. I don’t mean it’s totally crap but it just gets a little low comparing to its 9 star rating. I will explain it. This is my point of view.

Walt and Sky has a baby girl while Walt makes a seven figure deal with a drug lord (awesome scene by the way in the last season). The drug lord (Gus) sets Walt up a new lab in which he starts making meth.

There is more distance in Walt and Skylar relationship and the whole Ted storyline was just pointless in my situation then she finds out about Walt and his crime and starts to support him? What the hell?

And Jesse is so annoying in this. If it was not for his stupid ass decisions this drama would’ve ended in season 2 but here we are.

The humour is gone and it has become pretty serious. It was my least favourite of all seasons. Season 1 was my favourite. The acting and the storyline was just amazing.

One episode in this season is like the bomb. The RV one. Oh my God, it makes your teeth hurt, that one. Poor hank. That’s all for me.

It just gets better and better. It gets more disturbing and fun too.

The season continues from the previous one where Walt and Jessie are dealing with this crazy guy called Tuco. Walt has cancer and he decides to become a drug manufacturer. Things turn real good for him. But then they go the bad way. It is sad really.

I really liked this season. There were a couple of episodes where you sit at the edge of the seat, teeth together thinking what’s gonna happen. It is just that kind of thing.

The director has taken this one notch up in the drugs department. Fair enough it is a drug themed drama but they show like details of drug needle use and then death by using needles. It is pretty disturbing and graphic so watch at your own risk.

The acting is superb. Bryan and Aaron does the job especially that desert episode is pretty good. It has to be one of my favourite episodes yet.

And oh yeah, that ‘stay away from my territory’ scene was just awesome.

Polar Wearlink +

This is a bluetooth HRM which enables it to connect to a bluetooth device like your mobile phone. It connects to applications like Endomondo and other fitness applications.

The strap is very good quality and when you put it on, it is very comfortable. The monitor runs on a battery which it says last 150 hours.

I’ve kinda damaged the opening bit of the battery. I just didn’t use the right coin which is a 10p and also I didn’t turn it hard. I went slow and the sides have kinda melted and now I can’t turn it.

It’s good so far. Make sure you wet it then connect it. Connecting with Endomondo is easy. I’m gonna have fun with this working out.

I just can’t tell you about the hype the last season of Breaking Bad has caused (that’s season 5) and it has got a rating of 9.5 which is really good. It actually makes it one of the best drama series ever made.

The word ‘crime drama’ makes me not want to watch. I don’t like crime drama. When I see it, I think about ’24’ or csi or something. But I thought I would give it a go.

It was a brilliant start though. Chemistry is one of the most boring subjects ever for me but this made it all seem fun. Walt is a chemistry teacher and he finds out he has a lung cancer. Something snaps in him and he starts acting like crazy. Crazy as in not the loud ass crazy but cool and calm motherfucking kind of crazy. You know what I mean?

Right from the beginning, you feel you are watching the end of Breaking Bad but it isn’t. The way all the things unfold is amazing. The storyline is just 10/10 and the cliffhangers are there adding a bit of spice.

Another thing is it is beautifully written and some scenes are quite disturbing and bizarre. It is adult themed, mainly drugs which is handled quite well and somehow encouraged too but still I wouldn’t advise young people watching this at all.

I thought I would never like it but after watching season one I realize that this is one of those dramas which made a personal connection with myself. Maybe it is because the characters are so well written you just get attached to them right from the start.

Some of the scenes were really emotional and disturbing and I have two which are my favourites. One is where they have a family talk. The talking pillow scene is just so good. I loved every bit of it although it was sad. Another is the killing of crazy eight. I mean that scene would probably be the most psychologically disturbing scene ever.

Bryan does a great job in playing Walt. He doesn’t let you feel that he is acting. He is Walt and he plays it superbly.

This deserves a 9 out of 10 straight away. Totally watch this if you have a hard heart because there are bumps. Oh yes.

560) TMNT The Secret History Of The Foot Clan #1 of 4

It tells you the story of the Foot Clan and how a guy betrayed a clan and all that. Didn’t really get the story but it was good.

Drama: The Vampire Diaries (Season 1)

Watched: Sep 2013

I was just on Twitter and people were talking about Breaking Bad and all that. This one girl was confused as in what to watch and I talked to her and she recommended Vampire Diaries to me. I was like Ok I like Vampires. My sister was like nooo don’t watch it because it’s for teenage girls. I kind of ignored her and didn’t regret it. Sorry sister.

This quiet little town called Mystic Falls looks normal but it has secrets. Stefan is a 160 year old vampire who comes back to his home town looking for a normal life. He doesn’t drink human blood thus considers himself a good vampire. He falls in love with a girl called Elena who is mysteriously haunted by strange things. Soon she finds out that Stefan has an evil brother who is hunting down Elena. Why? The story spins back to 1864 when Stefan and his brother were two innocent little teenagers and things go wrong.

I have to say that this is the best vampire thing I have seen. Acting wise and story wise, this was so good. The storyline is just brilliant. I have to say that the first couple of episodes were poorly written. But when the superb storyline takes over, you forget it all. Especially when things go back to 1864.

There is quite a bit of romance throughout the season. Lots of relationship ups and downs. Lots of characters who play a vital role through the season. Elena loses her father and mother. She has a brother who is absolutely traumatised by his parent’s death. There’s also other vampires too who come up. Some good some bad. There is also witches who are superior to vampires. I wish they showed a bit more about witches but maybe they will do in the future seasons.

The actor who plays Elena (Nina Dobrev) is cute and she blends in well with Stefan and the whole vampire thing. She also plays another character through the second half of the season. I won’t spoil much now. Ian Somerhalder plays Damon, Stefan’s brother who is kinda negative and positive mix. He is quite a complicated character and as usual he plays it brilliant.

The season leaves us with two big cliffhangers. One I can’t tell and the other one is that Stefan and his brother Damon learn that there are other supernatural entities other than vampires.

I would rate this 8/10 for the brilliant storyline and acting.
