Purple is the colour. I used to like purple. Still do. I think it’s a great colour. This TV show doesn’t have any humour in it whatsoever. It is serious, grim and dark full of drinking and swearing (actually not swearing but let me tell you, the comics have the f word in almost every bubble).

Jessica is an ex superhero troubled by her past demons. The demons being a mind controller called Kilgrave who used Jessica’s body for every dirty desire of his. Basically this show is Jessica vs Kilgrave.

It is shown on Netflix from Marvel. Same as Daredevil. But there is a huge difference. I liked this show (but not as much as Daredevil. I loved Daredevil). I’ll be honest, the only good thing in this show is David Tennant who plays Kilgrave. He does such a good job. You know in the show whenever someone tells him that he was violent or he murdered people or he raped them. He always declines and it makes you as viewer think well maybe he is telling the truth. And there’s one instance where he says he loves Jessica from his heart and you start to believe him knowing that he is a psychopath. That’s how good and manipulative David Tennant plays Kilgrave.

The girl who plays Jessica does a good job too of being a grumpy girl. She never smiles through the series. She is extremely rude and very like the Jessica from comics. Except for the swearing and smoking. Those two are a must for Jessica. I wish they would include her saying fucking in every sentence and smoking ciggys all around. That would be amazing.

The sex scenes were bad except one. The fight scenes were rubbish all the way through. There wasn’t any thrill involved. They was mystery though which kept you going watching all the episodes. Daredevil was like a mini cinematic movie in every episode. This show just feels so bland compare to that.

But the last scene was superb. I really loved how the ending all turned out to be. Anyway, I don’t think this is worth a re watch but still good.

Arrow Season 2 Espiode 14 – Time Of Death

I have been watching this season for a while and by far this is the best episode so far. So many things jam packed in just one episode. Spoilers ahead.

First of all the madness of the Lance family. So much is going on with Laurel and how she is coping it is amazing. She is truly a strong character.

The action of the villian (time perfect) is so good. It keeps you on your feet.

Then there is this little jealousy Felicity is feeling because Sara is now part of the team and she can do things Felicity can too so she gets jealous then she takes a bullet for her too.

Then at the end, Slade Wilson appearing to greet Mr Queen. Just superb.

This season was exciting but not as exciting as the previous ones. For a change, this season was simple enough. There wasn’t any complicated storylines intermingling with each other like Vampires and wolves and hybrids and shit.

This season, as always, had two halves. One half is about how Elena copes with her vampire transition and the story about the Hunters. The Elena one is a hit but the Hunter story arc isn’t much exciting. Yeah I know we have the Hunter’s mark and all that but it is crap and somehow they linked that Hunter crap with the second half which is Silas.

Silas is an immortal being who wants to come in this world and take the cure and be normal human. Second half was about getting to Silas and awakening him.

In the season finale we see death of a major character. Should I tell you or not? Hmm nah I won’t but yeah she dies. But it’s vampire diaries. People come back from the dead.

It was good to watch. The suspense is a bit dying. The drama is lagging. Buy still Stefan is there and Elena is there. I’m happy.

The Vampire Diaries season 3

Season 3 is superb. There is a lot of story behind it. Especially the story of the Originals and how they became cursed and how they are connected to the hybrid and werewolves.

Again I would split the season in two bits. First half of it deals with Stefan and his ripper personality of the 20s. This gives us some insight about Stefan and how he would go on a binge drinking spree and killing folks. And side by side we see the friendship between Klaus and Stefan in the 20s.

The second half tells us the Original story behind the Originals. Tells us about their mother and father and how they cursed the vampires and werewolves. Then things heat up and the season wraps up with an amazing finale.

The fact Stefan was in the first half alone made me feel connected with the story. After that, it drags on a little bit until Michael comes who says he can kill the Originals. Really good and then we have the superb ending which requires a review of its own. I loved the ending. It was so epic and sad.

I’m gonna rate this 8 out of 10 just because it was rich in back story plus the ending. Stefan is my favourite character.

Breaking Bad Season 5

All good things come to an end and what a #BreakingBadMarathon it was. I’m not happy it is finished but at the same time I feel empty yet satisfied with the ending.

As we know Walt has taken things in his own hand and the guy plans everything all too well. He has a group of dangerous hillbillies working for him. He accomplishes it all but it all comes with a price.

I’m not going to spoil things for you but I think the second half of the season was just superb. The first half was a bit boring. There was a kind of uncomfortable sadness around and the characters were thrown into situations. Some characters die too (not gonna name which ones). There was one death which was pretty sad and emotional. Can you guess which one? I’m sure you can.

The end episodes and the follow up episodes are amazing. I mean just imagine the tension building up through the four seasons and the whole tension has to release and in result you get the last 4 amazing episodes. Worth the watch.

I still like the first two seasons of this drama. The character development is great. The last seasons (especially the 5th)is very dark in tone and I don’t like that but the great acting and storyline backs it up making it one of the greatest shows in this time. And it got an award too.

Overall I would give this drama 9 out of 10 and I would not recommend this to everyone. Personally, I don’t take drugs so some parts were pretty disturbing for me especially the Jesse and Jane part where they use needles. Also there are murders happening ruthlessly and it is very very disturbing. So hold your hearts.

Lastly I would like to tell you my top 3 favorite scenes in the entire series. I did a lot of thinking on what makes a favorite scene in my taste. I think I like the suspense factor more and base my favourites on that usually. 2 out of 3 below are based on suspense.

At number 3 it is when Holly comes in the world. Holly is the daughter of Walt and Skyler and when Skyler goes into labour, Walt is busy securing a million dollar deal which he has to get it in one hour. He gets a phone call from Skyler at the same time and he just sits down holding his head in one head saying no no no. That was a good bit.

At 2, we have this disturbing scene of the guy who is neck chained to a pole with a bike lock. Walt was meant to kill him but he couldn’t. They talk to each other for a long time (a big chunk of the episode). And then Walt had to kill him by pulling the lock back and choking him. I find all that build up between them then suddenly Walt killing him very disturbing.

Finally at number 1, the RIP RV episode was my favourite. I don’t want to spoil this one because it is just so good. There is a lot of suspense here and it makes you jump up to the edge of your seat then back. Makes you forget your breath also.

That’s it for me. Next year they are releasing a Breaking Bad spinoff and it is called Better Call Saul. It will be a comedy prequel kind of thing and will feature more of our favourite Saul Goodman. Please leave a comment down below. I would appreciate it.

Breaking Bad Season 4

Walter White is working for Gus, a drug lord and a business man. Gus is manipulating everyone and weaving people in his own schemes. Walter has to take things in his own hand.

I really enjoyed this season. After the depressing Season 3, you have the usual black humour back and the Gus character develops more. You see him as a cold blooded drug kingpin and he has his malicious web around everybody.

I liked this season better than the last one. Jesse is a cry baby as usual and Walt goes to new heights in his goals. Really intense.

8/10 for the brilliant storyline.

The Vampire Diaries Season 2

I’m a little bit late in writing this review. At this point I’ve watched 15 episodes of season 3.

I loved season 2. Very positive feelings about it. In my point of view I would divide it in 2 parts. First half concentrates on werewolves. Now as I said in the last season, they never even mention the word werewolf. All you see is signs like Tyler getting angry or the camera on Tyler’s face then at the full moon. It was pretty obvious.

But it was very interesting how they handled the whole werewolf storyline and how it connected with the Original Vampires. Yes, the second part is all about the Original family of Vampires. There isn’t a lot of back story about them because it comes in season 3. It is mainly about a mission one Original is doing and that is to turn the vampires into hybrids (werewolf + vampire).

The name Klaus keeps coming up and terrorises the viewers. There is a lot of suspense building in the second half of the season especially the ritual Klaus has to perform to break the hybrid curse (more on that in season 3).

Elena is not so brilliant. She just makes some stupid decisions, kinda similar to Jesse Pinkman. They should be together right? I think so too.

Stefan and Damon have their own chemistry and they work together. The Katherine saga was great but it’s ended now. This whole season or the second half was about Klaus and his plan. Pretty good though.

I would rate it 7.5 out of 10.
